Use UptoPlay to play online the game Urdu Reader.
Designed by a second generation British Asian this App scans your Urdu text and reads it aloud to you in authentic, easy to listen to, Urdu accent. You can also add PDFs in Urdu. Invaluable for anyone who can speak and understand Urdu but cant read it.
When my father passed away I inherited the family land, the documentation for which was in Urdu, which I can speak but cant read. I didnt need the documents translating, just reading aloud. Soon realising that relying on others to read the documents to me wasnt sustainable, I searched for a technological solution. Not finding what I needed I built it myself! I hope you find it useful.
This App is in its early development and can sometimes take longer than we would like to process the text to audio. It can take a few minutes to get the audio back to you. We are working on speeding it up, but for now some patience may be required. The app is free for now, but we will charge a small fee for the later, updated, versions. Shukria
