Use UptoPlay to play online the game UPC ID Checker.
Confirm your identity with the UPC ID Checker App simply and free of charge. ID verification is required to complete certain transactions connected to UPC products.
Heres how it works:
- Open the app on your smartphone.
- Scan the QR code (valid for 5 days after order placement)
- Scan your ID document
- Take a short selfie video

Tips for scanning and verifying ID documents:
- ID in credit card format (also B and C)
Lay the ID on the table with the photo side up and the text facing you. Then hold your smartphone in landscape format and try to fill the entire screen with the ID card. When the app tells you to do so, also scan the second side of the ID card.
- Passport
Open the passport to the page with the photo and lay it on the table as flat as possible. Then hold your smartphone in landscape format and scan the page with the photo. Please make sure that the entire page is visible on the screen.
- B and C IDs in paper format
Take both pages of the ID out of the plastic cover and lay them on the table with the text facing you. Then hold your smartphone in portrait format and scan the page with the photo first. When the app tells you to do so, also scan the second page.
Data protection:
UPC puts great emphasis on the security of your data. All data are protected and encrypted according to state-of-the-art security standards. The app stores no data on your smartphone and the digitally collected data are used exclusively for compliance with the legal obligations (BPF 2018).

90 minutes wasted trying to make the app work. Either crashes or "There seems to be a problem, try again". No other alternative, nor contact info to guide users. This is regretful as an app.
Crashes all the time. It says the scan is ok and then it crashes. I do not understand how this app passed any tests and it is out in the Playstore. I am on the latest Android and have a Pixel phone. The email or the app does not provide a way to contact customer support. All the links inside the email are sending me back to the app.
Why isnt 0 stars an option? Doesnt work. I tried credit card style and Passport id checks outside on a sunny day... both errors. Pretty useless app that doesnt do what it should.
Doesn't work. Camera doesn't focus and continues to aks to move closer... Terrible app! BTW : just used the Sunrise Web app for ID check and it worked like a charm! Maybe some lessons to learn there on how to develop an app... UPDATE: as the app did not work, UPC used the id verification by the post office. Today I received my 1st invoice: they charged 40 CHF for it. I am outraged!! Their support said I should have called within 5 days from the app malfunctioning to have the 40 CHF waived...
Really tricky to get to work properly. The app wants you to move closer to ID, even when it cuts of the edges of the ID, which makes the process invalid. Video ID would be far easier. You can try to get the 40CHF back from UPC if it doesn't work and you have to be identified by the postman."
