been searching for this type of app. finding topo maps that are accurate and high res is really difficult. I have a stack of paper maps, but the ability to look at maps on my phone at work to plan my weekends is extremely valuable. Google maps doesn't cut it, avenza has storage issues. this has been the best I found. that being said. if your going into the back country, have a map and compass. phone battery die, knowledge of knowing how to use a map and compass can be life saving. I'm serious
Installed app and downloaded the Topo maps for my areas. Tested in Airplane mode and it works perfectly. Offline maps are a must in the Sequoia and Sierra Nevada Mountains. Very basic program without a lot of bloat and the price (free) is awesome. I Would like to see tracks and waypoints available. I would like to see a KMZ export button for share data with others.
Download function does not work. Consistent play online errors that are not a result of my internet connection or otherwise. UPDATE: Do not believe the comment by the app producer that asks you to retry. I just reinstalled and retried, and it's still broken. This app does not work. Do not waste your time.
Great topographic maps that can be downloaded to be used in locations without internet connection. Could be improved with speed and saved track info, but great for tracking location, and great that it's provided without annoying ads!
The app doesn't play online any map of the area I'm needing to use it in. It will say that it is downloading for 5 minutes then will give me an error message and I never get the map I need. What is the point of having the ability for offline maps if they never download? Otherwise the app would be useful but I don't have service where I need the app the most."
