I have the books and bought the app in full to make it easier to use my phone to get recipes. When the app needs to update recipes/photos, I hope you had made your prayer, gave your thanks and pet the dog, because it's a frustrating experience. I'm no tech guy but the way this app updates is beyond any expletive I can give without getting banned online and offline. Fourth time updating and it's currently at 93%. whoohoo; literally an hour and a half later trying to get this app to 100% over gigabit wifi. It finally went to 100% at my fourth try so am changing my 2 stars to 3. Devs, please fix this horrible experience.
Recipes are amazing, but the app is awful. Expect to spend 15 minutes waiting for "images to load" almost every time you use the app.

Purchased this as a thanks for the awesome books Dan has written. There are a few in the app that i haven't come across in the books. Could i ask that maybe in future there could be a section of recipes that don't require the base sauce? I do usually have some frozen but many times i've found myself sieving through the recipes to find one without the base sauce. Thanks.
A great option to have on hand for recipes. Really well laid out, easy to follow guides with methods also done with pictures of each stage. very well thought out, and a bargain at 4.99 for all the recipes. Thank you Dan, your curry gravy base recipe has opened up a world of currys all from scratch.'
