SCREENSHOTS
DESCRIPTION
Use UptoPlay to play online the game TagTime.
To determine how you spend your time, TagTime literally randomly samples you.
At random times it pops up and asks what you're doing *right at that moment*.
You answer with tags. You can also submit your tracked activities to Beeminder goals.

Comments:
It's simple and it does what it says. If you want to collect data about your life at random points throughout the day, this app is for you! You'll have to play online the data and do the analysis yourself in excel or something.
Great idea but doesn't work. Pings only work when the phone is unlocked. If this could be fixed then the app would be good. Huawei/Android.
`This is not a replacement for any timer you currently use but it might just be the one you have been looking for. If you work from work or have other distractions such as "wandering around the internet" then this is for you. I set mine for every 15min and the ding is not obtrusive and is random enough that I don't have the anxiety that pomodoro's or other timers can create. You can also create a list of tags that you can put into the program that I find very helpful. Note to developer how do I??? automatically go to the tags instead of the keyboard. I have carefully monitored my steps in the process and can't seem to find any sort of pattern to always get my tags to come up instead of the keyboard. P.S. I checked out Beeminder and it is not for me.`,Simple, gets job done. I stopped using it because I wanted finer granularity control of time (I use toggl for at home/office, moves for out of office). Paco is another good app that does more complicated pollng (custom forms- good for custom quantified self analysis)
This would be the perfect App for me, but sometimes I just don't receive the pings. Then when I check manually I have to remember what I did at the times of the missed pings, which kind of defeats the whole point. Since other people don't seem to report the same issue it is quite possible that the problem is with my side and not with the app itself."
