DESCRIPTION

Use UptoPlay to play online the game SyncMe Wireless.

Copy, move, sync and backup your mp3, pictures and documents over WiFi, USB tethering, cellular VPN or wired network to your computer or NAS device. Nothing to be installed on your computer. Sync automatically even before you enter your home with 'If connected to WiFi router'.

SHARING MUST BE ENABLED ON YOUR COMPUTER, the simplest way to do this on Windows is to right click the folder you wish to synchronize select Share With and go with the instructions. Restart of the PC sometimes is needed when sharing for the very first time.

Features:

Two and one-way sync.
Sync deletions.
Schedule sync by combination of interval, exact time of the day, weekday, when device connects to a specific WiFi router and when power charging.
Include/exclude filter for hidden, read protected, individual files/folders, file name pattern, file type (extension), file date.
VPN and Portable WiFi Hot Spot over cellular connections.
Wake up PC (WOL) either manually or on a scheduled sync.
Organize pictures by date and/or address.
Organize mp3 music by artist and/or album and rename to the original song name.
Cut, copy, paste, preview remote and local files.

Uses Windows shares, Samba on Linux and older Macs, CIFS (SMB) protocol.

Hidden sneaky costs: There are four premium (paid) features in this app: 1) Schedule with router 2) Weekly schedule 3) Include/Exclude directories and files, new extensions and regular expressions 4) Wake up PC before sync. One time donation covers them all and any upcoming premium feature.

Known issues:
1) Insufficient resources error on Windows:
Check file path on Windows, paths are limited to 260 character after long files names were replaced with their short names.
Also looks like Windows sometimes is not fast enough to reclaim resources. Changing registry seems to help: "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SYSTEM\\CurrentControlSet\\services\\LanmanServer\\Parameters\\Size" 3

Enjoy with UptoPlay the online game SyncMe Wireless.

Comments:

Okay, so I've been using this app for YEARS. And it's been immeasurably helpful! Yes, there are some tweaks you need to do to get it to work, like enabling SMBv1. Which can be a little intimidating if you're worried you're going to mess up your computer or open your computer to unwanted attacks. But like a previous reviewer mentioned, if said PC doesn't leave your home, then it shouldn't be a problem. The latest issues I've had was the following message: computer error: insufficient server resources. And just like it's been pointed out, you can't save/move photos and/or videos to an external hard drive - which is what I've always done. Doesn't work anymore. Sooo, I move my photos & videos to a folder I created on my desktop (shared of course) and then I can move them to my external hard drive. Not ideal, but have you tried the other options out there? Ugh. This is easily the best option. Thank you to the developer!

Worked great until Android Update No longer has new access to SD Card. Tasks with SD card file access can not be modified now. Have the paid version, worthless now. Has a nice network access interface though. Galaxy S10 with Android 11 with Update 32 October 21. This update was not voluntary. Selecting the virtual SD Card instead of the real path get an error "Selected path is not the root of the sd card:

`I LOVE this app. Unfortunately, the developer has not updated to use SMBv2. In fact, the app store listing says it hasn't been updated in years. This means up-to-date windows 10 machines will not allow the connection. I must either enable the insecure SMBv1, or find another solution. If you have a secure network and this is not a machine that travels to other networks, you can enable SMBv1 in the "Add Remove Windows Features" area of windows.`,

Saves a lot of time from having to take my phone card out every time tosync. Has the option to track file deletions as well.

Paid for the app. Works well when it does (rarely) 1) App renames files n fails. Should be a straight sync and copy job?? 2) Couldn’t find file at destination. ??? 3) It stops the entire backup process if one file fails. This is extremely annoying! I suggested that the entire job be completed and that the erroneous files be skipped and then you can have error report with skipped files, thereby requiring less user intervention Developer insists that’s not a good idea and is not receptive to ideas'
