Alright been using this app for a while. it works as advertised as long as you put in the right dimensions. some tweeking required, the setups are not based on US trucks. ex axle weights is for each axle not the group. Second the built in POIs are geared more for cars than trucks. There is vehicle specific that is supposed to make finding stops easier but that is still not good enough. I still use a trucking GPS or Trucker Path (app) to find stops along my route.
Don't purchase this. I used it about 5 times and very often the navigation has a delay to tell you when to go. So you have to look at the map all the time. If you don't follow the path in the app, it will take a long time to recalculate the route. So I requested for a refund after less than a month of usage, no response from a live representative. It was just an automated response about the message was receive and some issues and solution of the problems. I still got no response after a month.
Pros: most of the things one would expect from a modern navigation software are there. Pretty easy to re-rout during navigation. Fast search. Cons: Lane navigation is quite poor - the major show stopper. The UI is not intuitive - the info is there, but the eyes need to search for it. Maps are expensive (e.g. vs. TomTom). Routing algorithm is weird - navigating from A to B 3 days in the row I got a new route every day, but only one option each day. B to A would always provide different options.
`DOESN'T PERFORM AS ADVERTISED. I drive an A class RV which is 45ft long with a height of 13ft. 6in. I had this entered into the app so it would plot the course based on that, but it failed. Tried to direct me down a hwy which involved passing through a tunnel with height restrictions applicable to my bus. Good thing I checked as I would have been in real trouble. Don't trust this app. You could find yourself in a "tight spot". Graphics are good. Also sent an inquiry into another issue regarding map filters. They always answer with "our technical department is working on this". I'm getting a refund.`,Sygic Navigation apps are the best alternatives to Google Maps, in my opinion. Some things may take getting used to such as addresses if you're in the USA. But I've never really encountered missing addresses. The parking information is useful and parking lots are better documented than they are by Google. Having an aural warning when exceeding a speed limit by however many miles or km per hour you want as well as a bunch of other features are all a big help. For commercial/non commercial driver"
