SubHunterGL play online

SubHunterGL is a simple 2D game which tasks the player to find an enemy submarine hidden in a grid. Tapping a grid location reveals either the hidden submarine, or a number representing the distance to the submarine. The game is won when the submarine is found and the players performance is rated by the number of taps it took to find it, the lower the better.

The basic idea for this game comes from the book: Learning Java by Building Android Game (John Horton, 2018), and combines it with OpenGL concepts as found in the book: OpenGL ES 2 for Android (Kevin Brothaler, 2013).

This game is a personal portfolio project, first in a series of games based on the games featured in Hortons book mentioned above.
