Due to the microphone limitations on different devices, the range of the measuring instrument is different. In general, the low end of the scale is not available due to the microphone noise, and the upper end of the scale is limited by the microphone distortion.

This app can work as both a sound level meter and spectrum analyzer, which is what I want. The meter and analyzer both update twice per second, which seems horribly slow. That assumes you've gotten past the barrage of ads. If the display were to appear to update continously, I'd gladly pay a dollar to be rid of the ads.
This does not offer many features, BUT, it is the only dB meter of the 6 tried so far that shows decreased SPL when I put my hand over the mic on samsung tablet. Not sure what the others were sensing.
It's only gives loudness in the free version you have to go to premium just get the frequency. How you know if it's good at frequency unless you can at least try it out for a little bit of time?
Makes you watch an ad only to be told you have to pay for a features before you can use it at all... Instant uninstall.
Why, if swipe right-to-left views a premium function is an ad shown? "(shows Ad then;) Sorry only if you buy premium version"'
