SciSmile play online

SciSmile is a smartphone app that promotes smiles. The aim is to reduce stress and improve mood with regular use of the app. The app is based on the findings of several studies* showing that smiling can have these positive effects. At this point, we don't know if using the app will have the desired effects. You can test this for yourself with the free use and help us to evaluate the anonymous data of thousands of users in this regard.

During the 2-minute SciSmile training, you will be asked to smile at different people that are displayed in the app. Once the software recognizes your smile (using Deep Neural Network technology), it will smile back. After repeatedly smiling at different people, you will be asked about your stress level and mood.

At the end of the 2-week SciSmile app training, you will see a graph showing whether your mood has improved and your stress level has decreased. We will scientifically evaluate the anonymous data at group level. If you are satisfied with the app, you can continue to use the app for free.

Participate
If you are interested in participating in the training, you can play online the free app and do the training for two weeks, twice 2 minutes a day.
