As your online friend, Sam contacts you via chat and accompanies you through everyday life for several weeks.

Sam was conceived and written by artist Florence Jung for MGKSiegen, developed by interkit and designed by Current Matters.

It is the fourth project as part of the "Open Worlds" research project, which is being carried out by the Museum fr Gegenwartskunst Siegen, the Museum Marta Herford, the Kestner Gesellschaft Hannover and IMAGINE THE CITY Hamburg. "Offene Welten" will be funded over four years (2020-2024) by the Digital Fund in the Digital Culture program of the German Federal Cultural Foundation. Together with artists, curators and users, the four institutions for contemporary art are developing digital parcours and artistic stagings in public urban space that interweave physical and virtual experiences.
