`Now has most of the features of the old app - some settings and capabilities are still missing. Wish it'd show you the next zone to be mowed whenever you want to check. Right now, it only shows it to you if battery is fully charged... By which point the mower is on its way again and you can't tell where it's going to go next all over again. Log entries are non-functional, and "next run time" generally doesn't display anything useful. This app was once MUCH worse, so this is better.`,app works well, but doesn't support all the features of robomow RS. I was hoping it would give the ability to use the robomow to it's full abilities, but infact it is very limited. For example, it doesn't give any history of what the robot has done and there is no way to use 3G feature making 3G useless. History would be nice if for no other reason than to help set reasonable hours of operation. I would still give it 2.5 stars because it seems pretty reliable in the few features it supports.
Connectivity to the mower is a bit random, so I would appreciate a "recconnect" pressbutton. Othervise OK, much easier to work with than setting stuff on the robot, of course. What is worse is that the applicattion no longer allows manual mowing, ie I have to use my old mower in all cases when I need to do a little special work. In my mind this is completely wrong direction of development and this option - which was there since version 1 - should be restored ASAP. This is my main reason for two stars only.
V1.0 was poor but V2.0 is worse. Very rarely connects even when I am standing next to the mower, it has less functionality than the previous version and the history only shows the the same 3 events from April 2018. This should be a really useful app, it has failed miserably. I have just bought a Flymo for my front lawns, their app connects instantly. Might have bought another Robomow if the app had been better.
`The app has major problems connecting - it works reliably only immediately after restarting my phone, so there are clearly bugs in the bluetooth initialisation. The main use for this app was the remote control/manual mowing feature, but despite advertising this feature on their website, Robomow have diabled v1 of the app, and retroactively removed the manual mowing completely. When questioned, they claim this is due to new safety legislation. However, the function has only been removed from the app. Quoting them "The mower still has the functionality but you will need to purchase the optional Bluetooth remote". Given that, and given that other manufacturers seem to manage to provide this through an app, their justification seems entirely mendacious. I note they've changed the text on their website within the last 48 hours (though not the picture, which still shows the icons for the feature they've taken away).
