I have both the ES 100 and ES 100 Mk II dacs and love them. Thought I'd give this app a try. Sound quality is quite good, though not as good as the Neutron player ($7). Serious problem however is that it will not play Hi-Res FLAC files! Won't even recognize the highest res flac files. Not sure why this is called a Hi-Res Player when it won't play hi-res files. Perhaps I missed something along the way and need to change a setting? Regardless - for sound quality playing 16/44 files it's the best free app I've tried. Not really comparable to Neutron as an overall package, but it is free.
Simple interface. Sound is good. I don't use the equalizer. No network streaming. USB DAC doesn't work with the app on Android. You need to by another app. USB Audio Player Pro is better IMO. The ES100 is good but the app could be more full featured.
This app is fair at best, outdated and orphaned by it's developers at worst. Really does nothing that can't be found elsewhere, in more current and supported apps, even if you only use this because you have the ES100 mkll dac (which is a good portable headphone amp/DAC/bluetooth). This app actually causes me to have second thoughts about the viability of this company's hardware. If they can't even maintain an app, what about support for their (great sounding) DAC?? My STOCK LG player is better
Great design, function, usability, but it is particular about file structure on external storage. It ignores files (directories I guess) containing files, and only displays files with music in them.
