PowerDrain play online

Similar to other geolocation or real-world games, PowerDrain is a location-based game where you walk, ride or drive around the world and claim locations for one of three teams. You can attack and defend them or just try to reinforce your team's locations. Resistors are your shields. Batteries store your energy. Generators keep your locations filled with energy.

This game doesn't take a lot of interaction (like some other location-based games out there), so it's much safer to play while driving or riding a bike and also includes an element of tower defense! Attacking a location happens as soon as you are in range of it. You don't have to interact with the location if you don't want to, leaving your hands free to drive your car or bike if you want. You can help your team by just turning on the game and driving down a street to capture all of the locations there! It's easy to participate!

Want to get more involved and fortify your locations? You can modify your locations and those modifications last for 7 days. Did I mention that the game is free to play? You use 'energy' to modify your locations - not money or tokens! You can generate energy over time, or you can generate energy by moving around or you can even extract energy from friendly locations to power your battery!

Add shields on some of the locations on the perimeter. Shields suck all of the energy from attackers of opposing teams (aka PowerDrain!). Doing this will make it much more difficult for the opposing team members to get to your core locations.

Add generators to some of your locations. Generators add extra power to the location and also increase the maximum power level of locations. Use these locations with extra power as power sources for yourself, so you can carry out multiple operations in a row.

As you move around the world, the map underneath you moves with you. The world is the game board! Everyone plays in the same universe!

This is a massively multi-player game. You choose a team when you initially register (blue, green or orange) and you help your team maintain control of its locations.
