Positivity Outward empowers you to be successful and well with near-peer mentorship.

For middle school, high school, and college students we know that success and wellness mean something different to everyone, so we do mentorship differently than other organizations.

Our mentorship model:

1. **You choose your own mentors.** We can guide you to mentors that we think are a good fit, but you have the power to choose who you need for your goals.
2. **You choose multiple mentors.** More perspectives = better decisions. When you are facing a new challenge, you can add or change mentors so you have the support you need.
3. **************************************Near-peer mentors.************************************** Our mentors are just ahead of your phase of life, so they are relatable but can guide you forward. They are growing and learning as part of the journey too.
4. **Our mentors support in almost every topic, including**
- academics: applying to college, scholarships, community service
- career guidance: interviews, building a resume, investing, budgeting
- productivity: habits, time management, mindfulness
- wellness: healthy relationships, depression, anxiety, loneliness
- self-discovery: embracing identity, finding your purpose, exploring your passions

Who are the mentors? Our mentors are volunteers from all kinds of diverse backgrounds and lived experiences, so you feel understood and heard every step of the way. They can support you in college and career preparation, life skills, self-discovery, and even mental health. They are all over the world, studying to be or currently are engineers, medical doctors, psychologists, entrepreneurs, scientists, and unique careers we normally wouldnt think of as a great option. Whatever your goals are, our mentors can help you to achieve them!
