Comments:
Few bluetooth connection issues at times. Also it would be great if we could 1.) access all the special effects from the app. More on the cube than shows on the app. and 2.) the ability to create our own special effects with timing sequences. Possibly for each light. 3.) the ability to synchronize/phase shift the special effect sequence. so if we want to have the special effects out of sequence from one another on different units.
Connecting to mobile devices are EXTREMELY difficult. Following all instructions, and if lucky, it will allow me to connect 1 out of 40 tries. So far seems like such a good light, but without an app connection, it's almost useless for my needs. Lastly, this review is only for this app, not the video light itself. Sure would be nice to be able to connect with customer service on these issues.
`Update from 1 star: App eventually connects but Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS must be enabled. Minimally, the latter two. If it doesn't, toggle your device bluetooth on/off to "wake up" bluetooth in the app. Sometimes it can take up to 20 seconds to recognize the RX1 lights. It works seamlessly on iPhones though.`,Useless connection a Rx1... rarely connects I spend more time trying to connect than actually using it. Deleted the connection once and tried detect it again and it even took longer... The frustration with the connection makes me want to throw the damn Atomcibe away... fix your damn software!!!
Only downside is sometimes it takes a while to connect the device but the app is great overall. I wish they'll make the light dimmable up to 1% in the next firmware update."
