DESCRIPTION

Use UptoPlay to play online the game Octopus Tariff.

Always have the half-hourly rates on Agile tariff at hand. Octopus Energys Agile tariff is the worlds first half-hourly variable electricity tariff available to ordinary households, enabled by the new technologies such as smart meters. It provides a fantastic opportunity for households to save on electricity bills while also being environmentally friendly, by using green electricity when most abundant and the cheapest.

This app provides a quick and simple way to check the half-hourly rates on the go on your mobile phone. It will always show the current rate, and rates up to 11pm next day, as soon as they are published by Octopus Energy. It will also let you define a low-price and a high-price threshold to easily visually identify the best time-slots to run your dishwasher, the washing machine, or to charge batteries.

We welcome your requests for additional features. Please explain your use case and we will do our best to find a solution.

Enjoy with UptoPlay the online game Octopus Tariff.

Comments:

I think a lot of reviewers are confused. This app has no official connection to Octopus, and is purely a way of seeing up to date pricing for the Octopus Agile Tariff. For this simple purpose it works perfectly. Much quicker than using the actual octopus website. I like to colour options for low and high pricing. Only feedback would be to label the regional tariffs properly. Your region, and so pricing, is identified only as somewhere between A - P. Took me a while to find Northern Scotland

Great way to see the upcoming rates. A few things I'd like to see are: Length of time to the certain half hour rate, to aid with washing machine/dishwasher/dryer timing (e.g. 02:30am +4 hours). A graph, obviously! And finally, and probably most importantly, a way to map back your usage, obviously we provide you our API key etc.

Nice idea, but I have no idea which tariff is correct one, all seems to be slightly different to the website. Also crashes on exit occasionally. Ideas: open source it; add current price/colour band on the notification bar; colour prices in 3 bands on the app to show low/med/high levels.

Does what you need it to. Yes, it's basic, no there's no instructions, but within a little each tariff is near enough the same so you know roughly what the prices are doing. Don't understand the harsh reviews, given that this isn't even an official app, it's free, and it's useful!

No detailed app based info...hmm, nowadays this is so low tech. Most energy companies have a very good app to keep track of costs, energy usage, account information etc. Having switched from Scottish Energy who have a very good app, I feel I've gone back in time with Octopus. Apps are created to make info easier to access of which Octopus have not invested in. UPDATE! THE WEBSITE SEEMS TO BE GOING THROUGH CHANGE SO THERE MIGHT BE AN APP IN THE PIPELINE..."
