The National League for Nursing (NLN) Pre-Admission Examination (PAX) is a standardized examination for anyone wishing to attend a United States nursing school. Minimum passing standards are based on each individual schools entrance requirements. All candidates must have a high school diploma or the GED equivalent prior to taking the NLN PAX. The examination consists of 80 verbal ability questions (60 scored), 54 mathematics questions (40 scored), and 80 science questions (60 scored) in three separate sections. Candidates have 60 minutes to complete each individual section.

I used this app the second time I took the exam and I loved it! I passed the exam the second time however I do have a couple of suggestions. Maybe add a few more science equation questions and a few of earth science questions that some of us older test takers may need to brush up on. One of my questions was "what is the lifespan of a moth?" Now this is something I learned in high school and would have never expected to need to know it on a nursing entrance exam. It really is a great app!
Get the premium version! It helped me pass the NLN in the 97% ranking. The science and math section are perfect but honestly go elsewhere for verbal. The verbal section in the app is not very helpful. It only helps with reading but nothing with vocabulary, which I thought was the hardest part!
5 Stars. Scored highly with only one week of use and no other study guide. If you need to take the NLN PAX, this app is all you'll need. Great design and functionality & explanations are clear and concise. (Girlfriend has to take the HESI A2, so I sent her the link to Pocket Prep!) Note: I bought this with part Google Play credit and paid the rest of the 10 something dollars about a year ago. Just getting around to writing a review now (lol). Ended up not pursuing Nursing, BUT -- apparently I got into the 97th or 99th percentile, so that was cool. I bought the guides my school were telling me to use, but honestly, didn't feel like reading them.
I bought the package to have over 1000 questions, and I can only access 250. I have been in contact with support and they have done nothing to help and refuse to refund me my money. I would NEVER recommend this.
love this app. the questions are pretty much identical to the NLN exam. im definitely more confident going into my test this time around.'
