Fasting in navratri is one of the best rituals of navratri festival, which is performed by the devotees till nine auspicious days. Some devotees keep fasting only on the first day of navratri and on the eighth day of navratri (Ashtami) while some devotees keep fast continuously until nine days of navratri and break the fast after the final day of Navratri.
