Multi Moment Analysis (MMA) is the statistical technique for determining the proportion of time spent by workers in various defined categories of activity. He examined for example downtimes in a weaving mill with personal coincidental tours with paper and pencil and detected that a relatively small number of samples is sufficient in order to enter the actual downtimes within the organization with amazing accuracy.

C.L. Brisley discovered 1952 that multi-moment analysis are applicable not only for industrial investigations but also on the investigations of office activities.
