Since last night, new years Eve, the app no longer finds my device. The lights still work, thankfully I had them on solid before the app quit working. My device is fine, my phone is fine, but the app no longer finds my lights, so I can't change them or use them in any way aside turning them on and off. Please fix. Wanted to wait a year before reviewing, but no point in that now. Would have gotten three stars if you didn't force location.
This app is garbage. Or maybe it's the lights. And there's next to no support for the product. I thought maybe I was doing something wrong, but now I see that it's a common issue for the app to stop recognizing the lights via Bluetooth. However, my phone still shows the lights under pair new device. But since the only way to work the lights is through the in app Bluetooth, you're screwed. I have paid $70 and wasted time on this garbage.
I like them but could use some updates. You can plug these into each other which is a huge plus if you want one really long strand. Not enough Christmas settings. I use them year round, they are wonderful for that, but no way to make a playlist and only 1 preset that appears to run through all effects. I was crushed this morning when I saw 3 of 5 strands not holding the programming. No real trouble shooting other than unplugging them. We will see if they can right themselves.
`When I installed my new halos on my car, I was excited to create my own light sequences, customize patterns, etc., and then I installed the app. It's a really "vanilla" basic app. The plus side: over 100 presets to choose from, with patterns, color sequences and choice of color brightness. Almost no learning curve to use proficiently. The downside: That's about all you can do. I hope they will create a newer version of this app to give you more/better choices. Much room for improvement here.`,It at least does what it needs to do. It lets you control multiple strings of lights at once, there's more than 100 presets to choose from or a custom solid color with a couple options to vary brightness speed and something else... But that's about it. It would be nice to be able to set am on/off, timer or create your own combinations by being able to choose color(s) and a preset mode like blink, Chase, cycle, flash, fade, randomize, etc. But I don't think they pay attention to the app anymore"
