For vehicles with InControl Remote Premium the following additional features are available:
Check on your vehicle security status and lock/unlock your vehicle if required
Cool or heat your vehicle to the desired temperature prior to your journey.(Availability
and function depending on vehicle capability)
Reset your vehicles alarm if it has accidentally triggered
Locate your vehicle in a crowded car park with the beep and flash functionality
Download the App and log in using your Land Rover InControl username and password. This App requires one of the following packages fitted to the vehicle:

InControl Remote Premium

Remote App will now be supported on Android OS version 5.x or later to meet higher security requirements of our backend systems. This release and future updates will not be available on older versions of Android.

`I know some have had issues with this app, but I've been using it for the last week on a Samsung Galaxy S8 and haven't had any real problems with remote start. I've tested it on both wifi and T-Mobile service and it's consistently started my vehicle. If I receive the "Your vehicle is in a poor coverage area" error message, I just try again and it more often then not, starts on the 2nd try. Considering I live in rural Maine with far fewer cell towers than more metropolitan cities, I'm very happy.`,When it works, it's is a great convenience. Problem is it's very unreliable. I've cleared cache and data, and uninstalled/reinstalled, but it still does the vehicle's location from 2 days ago. It also shows that the vehicle is locked but the alarm is unarmed, which is not the case. Tried to remote start with climate, but no luck.
For spending so much on a vehicle, one would think that the app which controls the auto start, location etc would work at least 98% of the time! More often than not I get a notice that my car is in a poor coverage area, no matter where I am, or that the car is already running, or already locked/unlocked. I must then force stop the app and sometimes it still does not work. I am so sick about the fact that I can not start my car over half the time! My old cars auto start still works better!!!!
Recently, the app started not working and telling me my vehicle is parked in a completely different location miles away from where it actually is. It also won't remote start and just keeps spinning. Not happy with whatever update was done that has caused the app to be non- functional. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, and that has not fixed the issue.
Remote start barely works, just spins and spins then goes back to the start screen. Sometimes it will show car is running, but when I get to the car (within 5 minutes or less) the car isn't running, even though app still shows it's running. Sometimes shows it car is not running (i.e. app didn't start car) but when I get to the car, it is running. If you want reliable remote start, look to a better brand of vehicle. Even GM is better at delivering this feature than LR."
