Karabo eLearning for Grade 9, 10, 11 and 12 play online

In 2011, we analysed the Matric results of 8 high schools in and around the Vosloorus community, and found that only 4 learners obtained A symbol in Mathematics and 1 in Physical sciences. In 2012, we initiated a pilot project with 37 learners and 2 Educators for Sunday and Public holiday extra classes in Mathematics and Physical sciences. This batch obtained 8 A symbols in Physical Sciences and 10 in Mathematics.

In 2013, the Project was formally registered as KARABO CENTRE FOR MATHEMATICS, SCIENCE AND COMMERCE, obtained approval from the Department of education. A total of 240 learners from grades 10 to 12. In that year, 30 learners from the project enrolled into Engineering, Sciences and Education careers at tertiary institution.

In 2014, 3 learners from the Project obtained 100% in both Mathematics and Physical sciences, with one being 3rd Position nationally. In 2015, despite the overall drop in the matric results; again we produce one leaner with 100% in Mathematics, and another with 100% in Physical Sciences. In total 36 learners obtained A symbol in Mathematics and 25 in Physical sciences. 75 enrolled at tertiary institutions with 48 having secured financial assistance and 7 of these being sponsored by JOYGLOBAL.

In 2016, 72 students were awarded full bursaries from different organisations. The Major sponsors were being JoyGlobal Foundation and Ekurhuleni Municipality, together covering 38 learners, tertiary studies. Our top student, Buthelezi Skhulile, obtained 100% in both Physical Sciences and Mathematics. He received a full bursary from Ekurhuleni Municipality to study Actuarial Sciences at the University of Witwatersrand. Also, Xaba Sipho who obtained 100% in Physical
