The wireless connection is great, but the USB doesn't work at all. I like being able to start a video recording with the app and quickly check available memory. Unfortunately, the USB connection doesn't allow me to transfer files to the phone and use the editing features of the app. This is extremely frustrating. I have a Moto G Power and it recognizes that the Insta360 Go is connected. Instead of accessing videos and photos, it triggers a new video to record just like doing a quick video.
Had a hard time figuring out the FPV mode initially (which is the whole reason I bought the Insta360 Go). In the Go button settings, you have to choose standard video, and then set the length as 5 mins. They just updated the app to add FPV stabilization too! It's awesome, the two stabilization options give you a lot of freedom to do some cool stuff. Happy with this as my FPV HD camera!
This is required to use the Go. It generally works, but Bluetooth is broken, and some of the features require long pressing and drag which only sometimes works (maybe a conflict with Android gestures). Many of the features that they advertise aren't available in the Android app, and Insta360 have only added them to the IOS app. This has such great potential, it just seems that the Android version is neglected. It made me consider returning my Insta360 Go.
Don't ever swipe right on your videos otherwise you're going to delete them by accident and you'll never be able to get them back. what idiot thought to have gesture controls like that where you can't even retrieve the footage from a trash can. It's too easy while scrolling through a video clip to accidentally delete it thanks a lot.
It's Very sad to so see that after purchasing this device, the companion app is totally unusable, it's obvious that the app was never optimized for Android, it's a very janky port of the iOS version. The app does crashes randomly, freezes for no reason, refuses to connect via Bluetooth. In summary it's a very frustrating experience especially a first time user of instago products like me. The app makes the user experience very frustrating n am fed up of using the device."
