On August 24, 1984, the Floresta Biblical Baptist Temple was founded. God brought from the USA the missionary Henry Ritchard Mantonya and his wife Nancy Evelyn Mantonya, who together with a Brazilian couple Antnio Marques and Maria Marques started this work.
Antnio Marques entered the Instituto Bblico, completed the course and was ordained to the pastoral ministry, becoming the first pastor of the church.
On June 23, 2012, the staff is passed to the then Pr. Rafael Oliveira.
