Forced labor was a central part of the Nazi dictatorship - in Berlin alone over 500,000 people worked under duress. The interactive app Human Commodity recalls 99 of these places and makes the stories behind them audible in 99 musical miniatures by Marc Sinan. Recorded in 2022 by musicians and artists in Berlin, these audio miniatures represent all victims of Nazi forced labor.

With the help of the integrated map, you can easily get to the various stations and connect them on foot, by train or by bike on different routes. With this app we want to encourage people to notice these 99 places. Go to the places, look around and hear the stories.
