DESCRIPTION
Use UptoPlay to play online the game Hash Calc (Checksum Utility).
Hash Calc is a tool for computing checksums of files and texts. After computation, the calculated hash values can be compared against other hashes for verifying data integrity.
Features::
Check all files within a directory, or even recursively over all its sub-directories
A bookmark-tab for you to keep track of important results
Export file checksums to text files, and compare exported text files to identify differences
Fast, and efficient; optimized to process large files (ie. disk images)
Supported hash functions include the commonly used MD5, SHA-1, and SHA-2 (SHA-256, SHA-384, and SHA-512).
--Free, and no ads--
Permission Requests::
Storage Reading - to process files and compute checksums (obviously!).
Storage Writing - to export results as plain text files.
Enjoy with UptoPlay the online game Hash Calc (Checksum Utility).

Developer: kevinhhl
Genre: Tools
App version: 1.4.2
App size: 827k
Recent changes: v1.4.2
- Changed the file-result format to match the standard format used by programs in Unix/Linux/Unix-like OSs (md5sum, sha1sum, etc). However, this means old outputs from v1.4.1 can not be used anymore.
- Ability to include/exclude full directory paths for generated results.
v1.4.1
- File-results can now be generated, and exported as plain text files.
- Ability to compare generated file-results, and find out their differences.
- History feature has been changed to "starred".
Comments:
Exports hash of every file in a directory structure to a file. What I need to verify a backup of my SD card to a PC. Do wish it had CRC32, what the first app I tried on the PC emits.
Fast and economical. I would also like to see file size and date when exporting to a text file. I used a windows application filecheckmd5 that recursively checked a specified location generating a text file. If the program detected this file it would automatically check all the files in the current folder at any time and report inconsistencies.
Good but why does it generate hashes for multiple files in such a random order, instead of simply alphanumeric. Makes comparing batch files harder than it should be. Also, it should allow selecting multiple files within a directory via checkbox, instead of having to do the entire directory.
Exactly what I needed and expected of a hash calc util. Flawlessly creates checksum files for whole directories with various algorithms. It has niche use but does what it does in a way it should.
Very good and very old. Still this works without no problems on my OnePlus 3T with LineageOS 17.1 (Android 10) and Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 (SM-T825) (Android 9)'
