Payments are taken directly from a payers bank account and sent to a merchants bank account within seconds via the Fena Merchant app. It operates within the premises of the Open Banking directive.

Fena charges a small transaction fee (around 0.3%) to a merchant which is significantly smaller than standard card fees (starting from 1.4% upwards).
