DESCRIPTION
Use UptoPlay to play online the game Evolution.
Use joints, bones and muscles to build creatures that are only limited by your imagination. Watch how the combination of a neural network and a genetic algorithm can enable your creatures to "learn" and improve at their given tasks all on their own.
IMPORTANT: This is a simulator and not a game! If you are not interested in the concepts of natural selection, genetic algorithms and neural networks and watching them work together then this is probably not the app you're looking for! Everyone else, please continue reading :)
The tasks include running, jumping and climbing. Can you build the ultimate creature that is good at all of the tasks?
I want to stress again that there are no real objectives. Even if a creature of yours reaches 100% fitness, you don't win anything except for (hopefully) lots of excitement and joy.
IMPORTANT (again): The simulation is pretty CPU heavy so it will crash on most old and/or low-powered devices. If your device does not meet these minimum performance requirements you should NOT play online this app!
If you just experience some lag you might be able to improve the fps by lowering the population size in the start menu.

Impressive implementation. Very well done. Giving individuals enough time to get up to speed can get runners to evolve to speeds greater than 40 m/s. They spend most of their time in the air. Eager to see what can be done one the hill. Would like to see just how genetic algorithm selects mates and prunes population.
I'm not sure what other reviewers are expecting, but this app one thing and it does it well: It's a deep learning AI that you can watch learn to walk. It's a good way to demonstrate the concept to somebody actually.
This game is kind of stupid, because it just evolves a best muscle pattern for a drawing. It doesn't actually evolve creatures by adding, deleting, changing size of limbs, from scratch or from a drawing. I hope you do fix it! You might take the 'move' button and make it an automatic mutation during the game. I gave it an extra star because of the menu settings and engine. It has the potential to be a good simulator in the future. I also think mutation rate should be vastly increased.
This game is awesome! I've always wanted a free game like this, where you can evolve your own creation by giving it some time to learn how to control its body. Amazing game, keep up the good work!
