Pros: If you are an Eva fan (whether the original series or Rebuilds) you'll love all the characters, evas, and other cool things you can grind to get. The game modes and great graphics make this game a fun time! This game isn't going to just give you free stuff, it will make you work for it. But it does reward you quite often even without a VIP level. Cons: whilst it is a free game, this RPG has a slight. SLIGHT. Pay to win mechanic. However, it is not that noticeable and only really helps sand down the grinding process. You can still enjoy this game though without paying for anything as mentioned. The AI can also be a little tough but it makes the game a challenge, albeit frustrating at times, a good challenge. Overall, if you like Evangelion, you like phone RPG's, this is the game for you.
The game is fun but has some bugs and occasionally crashes. Recently I lost access to my account for no reason that I can figure out. I have never switched servers and when looking through a few that it could be in, I found nothing but the starting cutscene and the tutorial. The account Revaxx is just lost to me now and there is no way of reporting this on the title screen of the game. Some of the text is in Korean or broken English so I can't figure out what somethings are saying often times.
The game has potential, but several issues are dragging this game from being recommended. 1. It's a total cash grab. Everything involving cash points are severely over priced. Likely because of the limited number of pilots and Eva is seriously making developers milk the players dry. Lower the cost seriously. $100 for 20 pulls on only worth while pool is pathetic, and chance of getting anything great are abysmal. Fragments don't count! 2. Fragment system. This isn't bad, just tolerable. But because of the reasons above rare and above pilot fragments are very difficult to collect with limited amount of gems provided within the game. Same goes for Evas. 3. Input lag. It's terrible. During regular missions it's not bad, but once in PVP battle, it's painfully obvious. At times it becomes so bad that my attacks don't register. I literally have to mash my attack button, so it will. It also doesn't help that oings can get erratic depending on the location of the opponents. 4. PVP. At first I did not notice. But the 1V1 seems to take within combined channels/servers. I've ran into many players not on my server and ranks beyond what we have. Not to mention balance is almost none existent once entered in certain rank. A CR 300K vs 4~500K? C'mon! Match making needs serious work... 5. Events. Not much rewards can be achieved without spending cash points. You'd have to save free points everyday in order to use them towards the event. Though, biggest problem with that is that the events suddenly happen whenever. No announcements. 6. Absolute free players. Free play is welcome if played casually. Don't bother playing competitively without spending a lot of money. It's a viable method if you join a brand new server, but because of the reasons above, it'll still be difficult. At this point, I don't expect much improvements will be made. I expect after milking much as possible, the game will shut down in a year or two at best. Hell, they still haven't fixed even the basic spelling mistakes. I regret spending money on this. One of my favorite series and franchise is made so painfully average at best.
To start this out I am going to say that anytime you use a distant server there will /ALWAYS/ be high ping, its not just something easily fixed. Second, this isnt a pay to win... you do not have to pay to get good things, you arent even able to directly get the eva you want, just have to get (x) number of components. Now for the positive side of this. The game is fantastic, it follows the series, it provides EVAs that are often forgotten, and has events that make it fun to play. In addition, each EVA/child will boost your stats, which I feel is interesting, the idea of 'more dedication increases your stats'.
`A gem of an Evangelion game with a few flaws. Overall the game is solid and keeps you very engaged. Includes pretty much every Eva in the nerv universe including the anima novels. Some aspects of the game just don't work at all like the "CRYSTAL TRANSPORT "CRYSTAL LOOT" & the "BATTLE GUILD" mini game. It's a same too as it seems like a fun event. Some characters are unrealisticly priced like the Godzilla Eva 01 character which would cost you around $1000 USD. Yes you read that right. Lol.`Page navigation:
