The E-Motive Champion network for Medical and Research professionals interested in reducing maternal mortality through lowering the risk and treating post-partum haemorrhage. The E-MOTIVE trial is a cluster randomized trial to study the Early detection of Postpartum Haemorrhage and treatment using the WHO MOTIVE 'first response' bundle, with health economic analysis and mixed methods evaluation. This trial is Sponsored by the University of Birmingham in the UK and is funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. The trial is currently being conducted in 86 facilities in Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania and Pakistan, given that these setting are known to have a high incidence of severe PPH cases and maternal deaths.
