Use UptoPlay to play online the game Despotism 3k.
Humanity is enslaved by an AI which is awesome, because were on the right side of the conflict. Exploit puny humans to extract power and build your own empire! Youll have to keep track of them to make sure they dont succumb to exhaustion and hunger although the weakest ones can always be thrown to the Bioreactor.
In other words, this is a indie resource management sim with rogue-lite elements, dramatic plot, and an abundance of pop culture references. Also, humor. Slaughter has never been so fun!
Key features:
1) Humor as dark as your exs heart. Immerse yourself in the life of a merciless tyrant!!
2) Resource management on steroids. Think fast, to the point, and abandon pity!
3) Rogue-lite (Almost roguelike) Every walkthrough is unique due to randomly generated events. And every failure is fatal youll have to start over!
4) Easy to learn, hard to master. It only takes a couple minutes to figure out the games mechanics, but using them optimally is no small feat!
Core gameplay consists of transporting puny humans between various facilities using mechanical claws. They rest in one of the facilities and work in all the others. Puny humans are to produce energy for us (which is leaking constantly), they also have to reproduce and feed themselves. You need to plan your strategy and tactics in advance and track all your humans so that they don't die of exhaustion. The foremost roguelike element is that you can't save the game - you have to start from scratch every time. Besides that, a random event happens after every five feedings in the form of a text quest. A correct choice may provide some bonus, an incorrect one - well, you'll see! Many of the modifiers that you get due to the random events change the game's look significantly.
In the second campaign besides resource management you get a totally new "raid" mechanic. Send your humans on expeditions around a procedurally generated map and earn resources without any limits. Come on, you have to find the Time Machine lost in the wastelands of 3k-land!

Comments:
I pirated this game 6 months ago and felt bad so purchased the full version. This game was a blast during my roadtrip. It scratches that itch for min-maxers. Its a shame so many folks are leaving bad reviews. I suspect they're coming from the play pass and are reviewing a category they dont enjoy. This game has character, and its not easy. The developers have talent and I'm looking forward to their other releases.
Game is definitely odd and very hard. In no small amount is this due to how slow the movement of humans in and out of your resource generators is and the seemingly arbitrarily increasing amount of electricity needed every 30 seconds and the insanely high upgrade costs....you easily find yourself screwed and having to play a forced tutorial every time the game resets is terrible. Also the juvenile way in which the dev responds to criticism is really sad. Dont give this person money.
Interesting concept, and I really like the art. However there is a big difference between a game being an enjoyable challenge and then just hard for the sake of being hard. Seems like it's mostly just memorizing patterns of what upgrades to get and what options to click on for the random events, which are ungodly punishing until you know the correct path for them. Just feels like a big incremental clicker game but with the added bonus of dying if you buy your machines in the wrong order.
An excellent game that takes a bit of work and strategy to win. It's the only resource management type of game on here that I've actually come back to play! I recommend it to anyone that likes hard games, but anyone who doesn't should probably stick to other games.
Not gonna lie this game is really hard, that or I'm bad, nonetheless I haven't made it more than 10 days on easy and there are bits that confuse me. Like randomly losing half my human supply without any explanaition wasn't weird. With that said it is a good game with a great concept and funny pop culture references I just wish it was easier"
