Update. I Although password is correct, when I reopen it, it tells me it's wrong and tells me to exit. No way in ____ It really doesn't work. Doesn't stop well if you stop paying attention to show. All of a sudden, you can sign in for few hrs.. Random code errors. For the amount you pay for Cogeco, it should work better than youtube. I like it on tablet but so many problems. God help you if you fall asleep, it messes everything up. And would be good if you could arrange shows from old to new
When you really need to watch a TV show on your phone and you have the patience, it is important to know that the Cogeco TIVO app crashes the “streaming service” on the main TIVO unit about half of the time. When the “streaming service” crashes it automatically restarts (unbeknownst to you) and takes about 2 minutes to restart so ignore all error messages on your phone. The status of the “streaming service” on the main TIVO unit can be found in the Cogeco TIVO app under “Settings > System info”. The “streaming service” has to say “Ready” before you ever have a chance of successfully streaming your TV show to your phone. Also once your show tries to play, tapping the forward or back button sometimes kick starts the streaming of your show. Hope this info helps.
the app works about 50% of the time. the rest of the time it has various connection issues. the 50% it does work, the audio goes out of sync when you fast forward or rewind. sometimes you can fix it by pausing or going back and forth. i wouldn't try though, as this often leads to crash or the aforementioned connection issues. i wish i could rate it higher, because that would mean it works as it stands, this should be removed from Google play until it is fixed.
This is a pretty terrible app. Attempting to play online a show for offline viewing is a waste of time - it takes almost an hour, and then complains it can't play it, and automatically deletes it. When you try recording a show, it often records the SD version. There are errors and bugs all over the place. The UI is terrible, and no effort has been put in to improve it in any way. Almost every show you try to watch is content locked, so you can only view it on your tv, anyway.
The app is good but a bit temperamental. When you install the app, it appears that you have to be connected to the cogeco WiFi. Once the installation was completed, I had to restart my phone otherwise it was giving an error on sign in. Tech support has been very helpful but still Cogeco is causing lots of problems to users after they revamped their system.'
