I am extremely impressed with this app overall and have been using it consistently since it's debut. There have been a few bugs, HOWEVER, the developers are fantastic at listening to users and ironing out those glitches. The app continues to improve as time goes on and I am thoroughly enjoying it. The book deals, search engines, personalized library space, and quick links to authors, books, and reviews creates a more advanced user experience than most apps out there. I highly recommend it!!
I downloaded the app to my phone, created my account, and nothing. I cannot look up books, I cannot follow (or even find) authors, I can only see books that are available for sale. Also, I cannot install to my Windows 10 laptop to make typing in titles easier. I would love to move my entire library from GoodReads to BookSniffer, but I don't see that happening at this point.
The app seems pretty easy to use. You can sort through their books by genre or look for particular authors if you want. The discounts offered on certain books are great.
Update to original post: a huge THANK YOU to the developers of this app. They fixed the problem I was experiencing, and the app is back to functioning correctly. Local libraries are still shut down, but I can find plenty of books here. Great app and awesome developers who pay attention to their users and what they need. Thanks again!
I wish I could give this app NO stars. Most Important: Every book costs something, maybe 99¢, maybe $27! Pointless, greedy app. WHAT'S THIS APP GOOD FOR? I COULD GOOGLE BOOKS ON A SUBJECT & FIND WHAT I NEED TO BUY!! This app is a waste of space & time - and since there are online libraries - money. BTW, I HATE apps that will not let you back out of them, but makes you go all the way to the home page on your phone to get out! There's something very controlling & pushy about it."
