Black History Television is an evolution in black filmmaking. The brainchild of award-winning writer, producer, and director Darryl Edric Pugh, Sr., BHC is being called the largest collection of black reality television in history. Since 1982, he and his wife/partner Rene have produced more than 10 terabytes (900 hours) of rare, never before seen reality black television.

BHC is being called street television that features some of the most iconic voices in black business, entertainment, politics, sports, medicine and the military.

A former topical producer for the syndicated Oprah Winfrey show and former producer, technical director and editor for Black Entertainment Television, Darryl saw a void in documenting the positive side of black culture and filled it.
