Makes my day! The negative reviews are frustrating. I think it's a perfect easy check in, not overwhelming. Creators deserve money and it's cheap! I have trouble keeping up with dairy or self care apps, even though I love them, but I think this is sticking. This one is cute, I named the bird Bip and I feel like it's real haha. Calming and makes me feel better. I did buy the rest, I think it's worth it. I'm excited to see what else me n Bip do :)
I wholly disagree with the people in the reviews saying that this shouldn't cost the $3 it does. I've never seen a mobile game with such a level of charm and beauty and love put into it as this one, and I feel like the devs deserve every penny they get from it. Below is Spoilers// // // The last phase of this game coincidentally ended up lining up with the unexpected death of my childhood dog, and the game handles death with so much care and love that it's helped me process/grieve. Thank you.
I really love this game, it has a beautiful artstyle. The parrot is a very amazing friend to have around, and you're able to have small chats with it, make music with it, and do other cool activities, like poetry, art, and gardening. Spoilers for this next part! The bird does warn about its upcoming death multiple times in the game, and the lilypads and flowers slowly die when the weeks pass, also symbolizing the parrot's death. It does tell you it is going to die, and after, it leaves. 10/10
I personally love this game. It feels more like you're talking to someone about your feelings, unlike other self care games. It avoids an overabundance of repeating questions, and the speech tone isn't monotone like a business man that wants your interview finished and nothing else. I've actually learned some important things like patience and that you shouldn't spend too much time with friends, which is the main reason I need a break from my friend. It is well worth the $3.
From the very beginning I fell in love with this game, the art style is SO unique! And actually appreciated the game's slower pacing that forces the player to savor it. I loved the tone of the overall game and how its almost therapeutic. EASILY worth 5 stars, and if you think it deserves less due to the payment I disagree. Id give more if it meant having more work from these developers."
