The BayernLB photoTan app protects the user's login data and the execution of certain actions (e.g. password change, SuperAdmin activities such as creating, changing rights and deleting users) to which he has access by adding an additional security level (2-factor authentication, "2FA") added. Even if an unauthorized third party ("attacker") gets hold of your password, this is not enough to break the authentication check.

- Download the photoTan app to your mobile device
- Activate the photo-tan procedure directly in your customer portal #client.next. After receiving the PIN letter, you can finally verify the 2FA in the customer portal and then use it.
