I'm a teen who's parents put this on my chromebook. It is a good app it works well, it does have the occasional hiccup but other than that this is a smooth runing app. This app does a great job gaurding my privacy I never feel like I'm beging watched or anything. There has been one or two hiccups when it misinterprented one or two texts, but the wording was missleading. great app guys.
`This app ruined my life. My parents get a notification about everything i do on my phone from this app, and im always having to have a "talk" with them even when i didn't do anything. None of the stuff i look at was explicit eitheir. Im to scared to text any of my friends knowing my parents can see all of it. This app is an invasion of kids privacy. Whats even worse on my cell phone a lot of my apps will load properly because of the bark vpn thingy.`, `Please consider why the review ratings are low and read who leaves the reviews- becuase it works and kids hate that they can't get into things they shouldn't. How dare parents monitor their own child's online activity. It's not invasion of privacy, it's called being a parent and as a parent I am so grateful to finally find a resource that helps me protect and monitor my children in the slew of dangerous options out there on the big wide web. I don't need my child have access to every corner of the internet or have every person out there having access to them.. Thank you Bark. Trying to work through all the technicalities and updates and just the challenge of monitoring multiple devices and emails with school laptop needs does make it a pain at times to keep current but I"m giving it a 5 still for it's efforts to stay on top of it and prvide good resources and service.`,FIRST OFF, this is a waste of money because even if there is nothing wrong with the message, it still sends it to my parents alerting them that it was sexual even when I just say," Hey." to a person. It sends every action I do on my chromebook and on my phone and now I just sit there on my bed wondering,"Why is my mom such a KAREN for buying something that watches over my shoulder to say,"SEXUAL CONTENT, DRUG RELATED, and more" when I just got on my phone.
Personally I think this was a invasion of my privacy. I couldn't talk to my friends about anything because my parents could always read my texts and it was incredibly difficult to open up some websites like Pinterest on my computer and Amazon. It also wouldn't let me open a certain apps and websites even after my parents had granted permission. And sometimes the screen limits would just randomly drop which seems like a good thing, but I have no sleep schedule so I was up all night on TikTok."
