In the last twenty-eight years, ATELIER EAST has gone through projects of various sizes, from their initial conceptual sketches through to the completed buildings. They are of great variety and scope. Some are reconstructions of old buildings, some completely new. One project is for over 2,000 houses on a site of 340 hectares in North Bandung, West Java- Indonesia. Others are for single homes, libraries, offices, schools, hotels, condominiums and an Indonesian luxury house for 4 persons which features 22 bathrooms and nestle into the sloping landscape, varying as much as 10 metres from ground floor levels.

AE is a specialised professional practice formed by ATELIER EAST, AWP PTE LTD and spearheaded by Architect Setyadi Ongkowidjaja, it capitalises on the combined specialist knowledge and skill and provide advanced level of design, project management and turnkey services to Asia Pacific Region industry and research. Our work is built on the delivery of innovative, accessible and high performance building environments of local and international standards. We design sophisticated facilities for commercial, residential, education, hospitality, interior design and master planning.

AE also publishes books, organizes forums / courses & architectural / cultural trips in Singapore and Indonesia.
