This app is no longer functional on newer phone models. Its setup asks for you to switch to a separate network, and then resets the setup when you return to the app. It is not intelligent enough to remember where it was, or what you're currently connected to. For anyone angry that this doesn't work, know that technically you can still fly the drone using help page instructions, but the camera is never going to function. Hopefully Air Hogs gets off their lazy bums and fixes this mess.
`The app used to be alright but now has been regulated to the forgotten pile even though the drone is still available and fun to use but the major selling point of FPV means you must keep legacy devices to use. Developers instead of replying to every negative review with "Sorry to hear about it.." why don't you update the app for new devices/OS updates! Note 9 user here.`,Should be discontinued... Completely unusable; Air Hogs has known for months and can't be bothered to fix it. Even if you connect to drone's WiFi network manually before starting the DR1 app and confirm the drone assigned you a valid IP address, the app still prompts you to connect to the drone's WiFi when opened. If you leave the app to visit your WiFi settings, or even just swipe the notification shade down for as little as 1-2 seconds, the DR1 app makes you start all over and asks for WiFi again. DON'T BUY AIR HOGS!!!
The Drone is amazing it flies like a champ. Got my phone connected to the wifi of said done. BUT THE APP DOESN'T SEE THAT. It keeps telling me to connect to the wifi and come back later even though I connected like three times. When I can finally connect to the stupid app to the drone like it is suppose to I'll give it a fresh review."
