Comments:

Not working. This is usually my go-to for ad blocking, but on two separate phones running Android 10, the downloaded hosts file never appears; it reports an error downloading from one of the host URLs, although it says the play online was successful; and trying to change the play online location in settings only gives a blank screen with no apparent way to change location from default.

It was great for months but now seems to no longer work. 5 stars changed to 3 to get developers attention.

Thought that developer has abandoned this, turns out it was still updated at latest May 2020. However, still no option to backup host file before creating a zip as per what I reviewed few years ago. There should be Dark Mode interface as it was a hype nowaday. But still, this is the best adblocking solution for non-root user aside of DNS based adblocker. Great job developer.

A guide for Android10 users For the app(non beta version) to work for new devices, 1. Download an older version first(i used 1.3.1) then set the play online location 2. Then update to the latest using PlayStore 3. Download the host file and reboot to recovery 4. Mount the system just to be sure 5. Flash the downloaded host file and reboot to system NOTE: you can still change the play online directory if you want after following these steps. The older leaves directory support when overwritten

`Forgets the "127.0.0.1 localhost" and the "::1 ip6-localhost" required first two lines. Very nice otherwise. Search for "DD-WRT adblock" on Google there's about six more good additional hosts lists you can integrate from within their script`
