Works on phones. Apparently Location MUST be turned On. If you switch to any other App, Bluetooth disconnects and logging stops. Will not work on 2 different tablets with both WiFi and Location turned On. Bluetooth ID does not even show up... Disappointed as it would be more convienant to monitor using a spare tablet that i can dedicate just for monitoring.....
After today's update, I can't change certain settings like the bulk charge and floating charge voltage. The version before this was able to do that. Other than that, I like the app as it give me some of the info needed. Would certainly like to be able to change all settings via the app, would really be great. It is annoying though to input the pin everytime i connect to my inverter/s. Synapse 5.0K+ in parallel. Thank you
The app is pretty poor in terms of what is available on the market for other systems and inverters. You allow for Bluetooth connection and create the app, but it seems the app is purely created as second thought. 1. No tracking of daily usage so you can understand your power needs and adjust where needed. 2. All the information is in technical jargon which for the average user makes it difficult, surely a proper GUI interface will assist people in understanding these figures in a graphic set.
Once again, the devs have made a functional app useless with this update. For those who need to connect to their inverter unit, I recommend installing the original version of this app (1.0.0.0) which can still be found online. This restores Bluetooth functionality and the ability to adjust important settings. It also requires no location information permission!! Come on devs - your hardware is fantastic, but you really need to get a grip on this app.
The app works ok on the samsung tablet, disconnects randomly but is easy to reconnect. It doesn't connect at all on my Sony phone. Main app issue is that when you are viewing another app with powerwatch in the background, soon as powerwatch updates it forces the view back to the app so you have to shut it down to use anything else. As it disconnects so easily the data logging is useless. The bluetooth range is about 5-7 meters."
