My kid loves space and needs help with sight words, so thought this would be a good combo, but sadly it's not. You to get four sight words to select but they are different enough (see screenshots) that it really does not help much if you child knows the alphabet sounds. Once you have an answer correct, a piece of a spaceship is added. Once they get four correct, the spaceship is built and blasts off. Repeat the game, and you repeat the process. My kid was hoping for something a bit more space-time, and was bored after a few times though. Nice idea and cute, simple graphics, but really too simple as a way to learn sight words or keep their interest for more than a minute or two. If some element of difficulty could be added, such as putting similar words together (a, an, and or then, them, the wh question words) and some variety added word improve it a great deal. 2.5/5.0 rounded to 3 for the nice idea and early start of a decent app.
The audio quits sporadically and must restart the app. Basically unplayable.
