Play this online game named Nirbhaya - an SOS App.

This is a SOS application which may come handy in case of emergency or assault. When the application is first launched, it will ask the user to input an emergency telephone number and a custom message. Next time before going out the user just has to switch on the app. It will start working in the background. In case of emergency or assault, the user just has to drop the phone. Then it will alert the other people around with an alarm and not only that it will start sending SMS containing the message and the location to that emergency number which the user has input in the beginning. When the emergency contact person opens the Nirbhaya app on his/her device, he/she will be able to see the exact location of the person who needs help on the Map... This app has been made open-sourced through Github and you can clone the source code from https://gitlab.com/som.mukhopadhyay/nirbhaya

After downloading the source code, you have to extract it and import it into Android Studio. Now as many people are not gradle expert, let me stretch out my helping hand for them to successfully import the project into Android Studio. Follow the following steps.

- From an existing Android Studio project at your computer copy the following files and paste it in the root folder where you have extracted the source code:

build.gradle, gradle.properties, gradlew, gradlew.bat, local.properties, settings.gradle

- then try to import

- there may be problem related to the specific dependency compile 'com.android.support:multidex:1.0.0' at the apps build.gradle file. To solve it open the top level build files and modify it as

allprojects {
repositories {
google()
}
}
- Now you can build the project.

- even if the phone is in mute state the alarm will ring...
- the phone will ring even it is in the sleep mode
