Play this online game named NIOSH Lifting Index.

The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) has developed an equation for the purpose of calculating safe and tolerable lifting limits in an occupational environment. We have adopted this equation into an Android application that provides a quick and easy reference tool for use in an occupational situation.

This app is for a single, two-handed lifting task. This app is based off of the Applications Manual for the Revised NIOSH Lifting Equation (NIOSH, January 1994).

This app assumes prior professional training in the use of the NIOSH Lifting Equation. It is not intended as a substitute for a complete ergonomic evaluation.

Developed by Jeff Fujimoto and Brent Kordenbrock, under the guidance of David Rempel, MD.

The freezing of metric versus english input has been addressed.
