SCREENSHOTS
DESCRIPTION
Use UptoPlay to play online the game Metcheck Weather Scanner.
The Metcheck scanner uses Android Geolocation on your device to obtain your current location.
The app then uses a combination of forecasts and TAF forecasts to scan your area and let you know whether there is a risk of rain, snow, gales, fog, ice or thunderstorms at your location.
It then displays this on a simple dashboard and highlights whether any of this weather is expected and then displays the time which it is expected based on your local time.
The data is updated every minute and you can refresh or update your location at any time.
This is probably the only weather app you will ever need if you need to know whether rain, snow, gales, fog, ice or thunderstorms are expected near your location.
**UPDATE : If your app fails to locate you when it loads then please update to the new version (2) as this now has native geolocation on your Android device.
Enjoy with UptoPlay the online game Metcheck Weather Scanner.

Comments:
Does not work s10 5G
Only a Grey screen for minimum of 45 secs. Eventually shows data but by then the weather has changed haha! Data so simple as to be useless anyway ... emailed support & got quick replies but no help.
(Updated review, 2nd March 2016) Somehow this suddenly works, so I'm updating the review! A bit sluggish at loading, but seems to work really well (android 5.1.1) - all I need now, is some severe weather due near here to see how it works! (original review) Great idea in theory, but version 2 just gives me a blank black screen - no weather alerts, text, menu, or anything :( (Android 5.1.1) (edit) Annoyingly, it works fine on my old Android phone (Android 4.1.2), but not on the newer one :(
It doesn't work on my s7. Nothing ever gets a warning and we've had gales, fog and torrential rain.
It gives lat and long but the rest of the screen is a banner and a grid of six empty boxes on a dark background.'
