Medammal Family society was formed after its senior family members jointly recognized the need of bringing together its people of the same genealogy. With member houses spread throughout the village towns of Vaniyanoor, Pullur, Ezhur, Karathur and Karippol it is respected as one of the biggest family names in the area. With roots of existence identified back to early 1800 Medammal family has been part of many developments in the area. The initiative is to register each and every member of the family in order to preserve its descent together with other communal efforts including charity and empowerment, elevation of education and family events. The Medammal Family society was formed with this vision to provide a sustainable support system for its family members.
