The objective of the Economic Development Department is to ensure the Project Company complies with the Economic Development (ED) obligations per the Implementation Agreement (IA). The ED obligations include compliance to BEE procurement spend, employment of affirmative resources, development of black SMMEs (Enterprise Development (EnD)), and supporting community needs (Socio-Economic Development (SED)) within the priority areas. The Project Company want to invariably to create jobs and uplift communities through the EnD and SED programs.
