The objective is to automate the entire process of registering the differently abled persons, mentally retarded children and receiving and processing applications for the benefits provided under various government schemes.

As of now, there are 27,591 registered beneficiaries (differently abled persons) in Ramanathapuram district. With the current manual system, its difficult for the officials to scrutinize each application and to find out repetitions (after few years they apply again for the same benefit). Also, a beneficiary may apply for a three wheeled scooter in Ramanathapuram and also in Madurai. Like this, they are applying with duplicate address proofs to show them as a different person. So, its really a painful task to scrutinize these applications and to maintain the data in the manual system.
