The Way of St Hild play online

The Way of St Hild is an exciting pilgrimage trail linking Hartlepool with Whitby. This app features information, photographs and videos about the route and the surrounding area which can be unlocked through interacting with Augmented Reality markers and GPS locations. However, users can chose to unlock all the content by default at the start of the app if they are unable to walk the route.

Hartlepool Borough Council worked with partner authorities and agencies to attract funding to create The Way of St Hild which opened in spring 2020. The route celebrates the importance of Hild to both Hartlepool and Whitby and recognises the contribution she made to the Christian heritage of the North East and further afield.
